My new employer is Scribd.com - online document publishing company which is in top-500 sites in the Internet now (and growing). My primary duties there as a Scalability Expert are “simple” - our site needs to be able to keep up with growing popularity of the service. I still work remotely from Totonto, company’s head office is located in San Francisco, California.

So, we did it! New Best Tech Videos site version has been released today. Of course, it could have some issues, and we are really looking forward for your feedback on our support forums.

Let’s review main improvements we’ve made here:

• First of all, I want to mention our first step to socialization of the BTV - all our users could signup now and get their own lists of favorited, commented and voted videos and much more - they could have their own personal RSS feeds.
• Next cool thing we’ve prepared for you is user-generated content! You can find some great videos on the Net and share them with fellow BTV readers. At this moment our posting system works in pre-moderated mode to keep really high level of videos we post here, but later we want to delegate moderation to our most active members.
• As I mentioned before - we have our own video rating system. All our users could vote for videos they like and then we’ll let users to decide, what videos they would like to watch based on these votes.

So, these are just small part (but most valuable) of our ideas. If you want to have a look at all of them, just sign up and start using the service - you gonna like it, we’re sure!

Few days ago I’ve started new site which name is BestTechVideos.com. I’ve created this site because there are lots really interesting videos on the Net, but if you’d like to fine some good tech video, it is not so simple to find them because of tons of crappy “funny videos” like “funny cats” and so on.

After my contract with ISP “Delta-Net” was finished I’ve looked for a new job for a while…

And after long searching process I’ve got a new job as a Senior Unix Administrator and Core Developer!

My one-month evaluation period has finished and now I’m working full time for New Age Opt-In company - a leading online relationship marketing company specializing in email marketing for customer acquisition and retention and located in USA.

As for now, I’m working remotely, but I’ve started to think about immigration to USA or Canada and I will be glad to hear any hiring propositions with sponsored or manual relocation options.

This month we got our MSc diplomas and were moved to Kiev - the capital of Ukraine.

Today we (I and my wife Tanya) was started her own web site http://kovyrina.info.

My wife is young and perspective web designer. You can view her works in ‘Portfolio’ section of her site.

Some days ago I’ve got my International Passport. Now my wife, Tanya, is waiting for her own passport and, when she will get it, we’ll going to travel to Czech Republic.
